About the Role

As a Software Quality Consultant at CQSE, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our clients to significantly enhance their software quality. By employing our software quality platform, Teamscale, alongside our Technical Quality Engineering (TQE) process, you will deliver expert insights and solutions tailored to each client's needs. You will engage with various development teams to identify and implement effective strategies for improving software quality and developing sustainable practices. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating long-lasting impacts within vital software ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the introduction of Teamscale and the TQE process to new clients and teams, providing essential training and ongoing support.

  • Assess software systems to identify quality issues and provide appropriate advice tailored to each client.

  • Carry out retrospectives and guide the adoption of enhancements in clients' software practices and processes.

  • Confidently present your findings and recommendations to client teams.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure alignment of Teamscale’s features with their specific needs.

  • Partner with our internal teams to refine and advance our software solutions, while actively participating in cross-functional projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Proficiency in software development and practical experience with one or more programming languages.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a proven track record of engaging with management teams or presenting at conferences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or further education in engineering, computer science, or related technical fields.

  • Experience with quality assurance technologies, including code analysis, testing, and reviews.

  • Familiarity with various programming languages, such as C/C++, Objective-C, Python, Java, Swift, or JavaScript.

  • Strong understanding of development processes, methodologies, and tools.
